I've Been Told to Host a Trip for Years
Here's Why I'm Finally Doing It — and Why Thailand
RUNAWAY WITH MEL

I have a confession. For years, people have been sliding into my DMs, commenting on my videos, and pulling me to the side at events saying the same thing: "Mel, you should host a group trip." And every single time, I smiled, said "maybe soon," and kept it moving.
Not because I didn't want to do it. Because I knew exactly how much work it was.
What most people don't know about me is that I actually organized two international school trips when I was in high school. By myself. Someone handed a teenager a credit card. I created a budget, and then I made it happen — twice. Both trips were a success. And I still can't fully believe people trusted me with all of that. But they did, and I delivered.
BTW, here is some of the gear I am currently using to capture my content.
DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro for smooth, dynamic shots
DJI Osmo 360 for immersive perspectives
DJI Mic 2 for crisp, clear audio
iPhone 17 Pro Max for quick, handheld shots
DJI Osmo Mobile 6 Smartphone Gimbal for stable walking sequences
And for deets on my outfits and other faves, you can check always check out my LTK and Amazon stores.

So it's not that I was scared I couldn't do it. It's that I respect what it takes. And I wasn't ready to do it halfway.
Then Trova Trip came along, and everything changed.
Trova handles the logistics — the booking infrastructure, the payments, the coordination — so I can focus on what I actually do best: showing up, telling the story, and making sure everyone has a time they'll be talking about for years. It's the partnership that finally made me say yes.
And here's the thing — I didn't just pick a destination and tell you to show up. I put it to a vote. I asked my community where they wanted to go, what time of year worked for them, and what kind of accommodations they were comfortable spending. You all answered. And Thailand won — along with October and the pricing that made the most sense for the people who actually responded.
This trip was built around you before a single booking was made.

Bangkok and Phuket. October 2–8, 2026.
And full transparency? I've never been to Thailand either.
That's not a disclaimer — that's the whole point. I'm not coming as the expert who's going to guide you through somewhere she already knows. I'm coming as someone who has spent years exploring this world and knows how to be fully present in a new place. We're going to discover this together. First impressions, real reactions, all of it.
Bangkok is one of those cities that moves fast and feeds you well. The energy is electric, the food scene is serious, and there's culture around every corner — from ornate temples to floating markets to rooftop views that hit different. Then we head to Phuket, where the pace shifts completely. Turquoise water, limestone cliffs, long tables of fresh seafood, and the kind of slow that actually resets you.
This trip is for the person who has been saying "I need to travel more" and keeps putting it off. It's for the one who wants to go somewhere meaningful but doesn't want to navigate it alone. It's for the one who watches travel content and thinks that could be me — because it genuinely can.
I've spent years taking you with me through a screen. This time, I want you in the room.
Spots are limited, and this is my first hosted trip — I'm showing up for it fully. If you've been waiting for a sign, this is it.
